Dr. Frankie's office door is open. What seems to be the trouble?

She doesn't only treat physical ailments either, if something's weighing on your mind. And, as always, all Suits are welcome in the Club doctor's office.

So, apparently, you want to talk to Rachel.

Mainly for Hector, but I think David had something to say, too? I'm literally about to go on a possibly all-day errand, but I'll tag when I'm back. <3

Actually for Hector, but everyone else is welcome.

Christmas and New Year's Eve are (finally) over and Helena is thinking about the past and the upcoming year.

Come bother her?

Hector is a patient man. And he perfectly well understands that his shoulder needs rest in order to fully heal.
But he is also realistic and suspects that it might never be as it once was.

So he is training now, maybe not entirely as careful as he should be with his injury.

Because when you have lots of tags and are going to bed, the reasonable thing to do is to post. Right? Right.

Taking the advice of a new friend, Mel is out for a winter's afternoon walk, away from the stables for once. She has some things to think about, but she's happy to walk awhile with anyone she might run into.

Annual Deck Bonfire!

[identity profile] ratherberiding.livejournal.com

Farewell Summer. Welcome Winter.

It's been ten or twelve years since the tradition started and the gardeners don't need reminding. Starting around October, when the leaves are falling in earnest, the Suits start bringing their twigs and branches, trimmings and cuttings, down to the circle edged in stones in an empty field on the edge of Diamond land. It's a small pile at first, but they spread them out wide because it isn't going to stay that way.

Over the last month or so the small pile has gotten higher and higher. It's become a game for the four Suits as they've worked together to build it into a bonfire that will go for hours. As the sun gets lower in the sky, Avery's putting the final touches on the spread of food and drink, a few early arrivals are gathering around the edges of the field, the side-pile of kindling and wood is ready to be fed into the fire to keep it burning bright…everything's finished.

Mel shakes her head at the silly ceremonial first lighting (as she does every year) and finally takes the offered torch and pitches it into the pile of leaves at the base of the tower (as she does every year). They flare up with a satisfying crackle-hiss and the annual Deck bonfire has begun.

Farewell, summer. Welcome, winter.

[[HAPPY HALF-BIRTHDAY, HOUSE OF CARDS! Post, thread, threadjack, eat, drink, be merry, try not to kill anyone, but there are shadowy corners to sneak off to, if the mood strikes. Also there are build-your-own s'mores. Recommended combination: dark chocolate and Club crackers. ♥♦♣♠ everyone!]]

To Hector, a year seemed to have changed everything.

Please note that he just heard that he was a Ten and no longer a Jack. And... he has only a basic idea of what had happened during his absence in general.

(And... maybe read the OOC post first? Just so you get ALL THE INFO EVER. <3)
