Your opinion on monarchic rule, the state of nature, the 'general will' and the Deck.

Eileen wants it.

She'll put the book down when she's good and ready. And when you've explained to her the nuances behind a book she's read before but still doesn't fully understand, to her own tiny chagrin.

Calls home are always a little bit bitter-sweet for all sorts of reasons.

Calls home in which you have to explain that you may be a little late getting home because you had a bit of a mishap is just...not fun at all.

(no sws, just comment here, open to anyone who might see it)

Almost a month after his meeting with Lancelot, there's little hint of the limp that had been plaguing him afterward. Which is likely a good thing since he's sparring with an Eight who needed to be provided with a lesson in humility.

No worries, he won't cut the boy up too much. He had promise, after all, if he just wasn't so cocky. Julien had caught him bragging that he could take on anyone in the Suit, even the Ace. After all, the kid had said, the Ace was immune from being challenged and just riding on a reputation he'd built years earlier.

Julien was merely offering him the chance to prove himself right.

Too bad for the kid he was left sprawled on the practice room floor with a concussion and a knot on the side of his head to remember him by.

The thing about going to the Outside? Meghana established rules for herself. No contact back home until you were returning. Not when she was going to school in a place where students track down IPs for fun. If she died? Jagan knew how to contact David. She had broken that rule twice to inform David and Chives she'd be home a little late. The impulse to see Finland and Kerela had been too much. It was a tough year going to MIT to develop her skills and pretend she was an absolutely normal college student while arranging shipments with Jagan to send goodies back home when Meghana returned to the Deck. Meghana needed a break. So spent some time in Oslo for Christmas and New Years, Kannur for February until now.

It was good to visit. It was better to come back home, even if she has to get back to her uniform of too costly designer slacks, blouses, and Kate Spades (well, there is no price for comfortable heels).

At the least, until she saw the monstrosity looming in the distance and she's vaguely reminded of a Iku Turso. On land of course but the menace... yes, the menace reminds her of the myths of Iku Turso. But she had seen people go about their daily routine. So she quietly entered Spades Castle, leaving a bulk of tea in the kitchen with a note, her suitcases in her room, and off to the hallway where the IT service was located. There was a Helper IT Gnome who informed her there was the Arcana and there was a new Queen and Jack and King Andrew had died and so did King Lindsey and Athena's computer-

Usually, Meghana is all about work. Usually. But she stares at the Helper IT Gnome for all of ten seconds. She quietly asks him to write her a report for the end of the day or there is a promise to belittle his manhood. Just as quietly, she leaves the Castle she entered less than a half hour ago. She saw a coffee shop in town.

She's going to the coffee shop, settle in a chair, and absorb the fact Home just changed dramatically.

(OOC: Spades may catch her either in the hallway or catch her in the coffee shop/town. Non-Spades can catch her in coffee shop or town. Tags please? )

Lambing season is nearly upon us. The ewes are going to start popping them out within the next couple of weeks. Therefore, Jimmy has started recruiting! In the most casual way possible to start with.

He wanders, so could be practically anywhere. Volunteer to help or he'll make you anyway.

((Tag for Jimmy, please? ♥))

The weekend's arrived and it's time to dress up, get out, show off, drink and take lots of blackmail videos. Work and any other "business" can wait till Monday, damnit. We're gonna have loud music, lots of booze and food, and hopefully as much trouble as possible.

So, with all that in mind, have a text message.

Jordan, you're going and that's the end of it, bro.

Let me rephrase? I am pleading...

Hadyn is mostly asking Elisha, but he can also be talking anyone into coming to this crazy party thing with him that Jordan is making him go to- And Ethan invited him. He doesn't trust Ethan to not be planning some sort of humiliation. Not that he'd say that to Ethan. Not that he'd admit he's 'worried' about it.

He's just...trying to convince someone to go with him because he 'doesn't want to go alone.'

Drunken Debauchery. Or something.

It's eight p.m., and Jordan has been dragged arrived with his friends and little brother at the Four Suits for what he suspects is another attempt to get him to get completely wasted and possibly up on the bar to sing something he doesn't even want to contemplate.

He'll just be over here with his bourbon, thanks.

And yes, also one of his new hats, because there is absolutely no better time to try out a new fashion statement than when you're going to watch all your friends and acquaintances get trashed.

So, you'd think that after their recent bit of shenanigans the girls would've done the sensible thing and kept their heads down. And they did, at least for a little while.

However, that was before the "all you can drink" bar and discovering that there was an ostrich farm within reach. Which is why there is now a link to a grainy Youtube video of Andrea attempting to ride one back to their house sitting in your phone/email inbox courtesy of a not so mysterious benefactor. Enjoy.
