I get the feeling the general theory is that alcohol improves bowling scores.

[Yes, Saturday night in Santorini is being spent at a rooftop bowling alley. There are warm breezes, stars, flowing alcohol, and five twentysomethings armed with bowling balls. There's no way this could go badly. Threadjacking is encouraged, as is taking the above sentence as a text message. She's glued to her phone anyway.]

She makes for a curious sight: she wears a pretty but inexpensive blue cotton dress with straps, bright wooden bangles, and a pair of sandals. However, Sandy sports a white scarf about her collarbone and shoulders and her her black eyes look like a racoon's mask and her nose is swollen. Frankie decided she should be fine for the vacation but after work on Tuesday, she needed to check in again.

Sandy peers over to see what Zoe is texting about as she waits for the next turn for her to bowl. "But I think it's automatic. And who are you texting? Someone that can tell people who can tell other people I'm close to booze?"

Zoe's text message at the moment is really a series of creative names for Jordan Novak. It's for Blythe. If she'd thought, she would have invited Blythe, too, but she's not sure she would have gone. "Nah, I don't think Blythe is going to say a word to your proximity to alcohol. Especially since you're not actually drinking any."

She pauses. "Do you think Adrien will really make Cadogan waltz with him if he wins?"

Such tipsy draping himself over Zoe will happen now. "Zooooooe. You're bein' boooooring," he slurs into her ear, slipping his arms out her waist. "How many drinks have you had?"

"Yeah, but who is seriously going to believe me?" She takes a sip of the virgin pina colada. Though Zoe's drinks haven't exactly been virgin. But that's okay, Zoe does not have problems with booze right now. "That's good, though. She doing better? I hadn't spoken to her since she got back from New York... a while back." Oh, she's a bad person.

"No. Of course not. He'll drag Cadogan to the nearest discotheque and bump and grind." Another sip, batting of the eye lashes. Which slightly hurt. She might have to take some more medicine soon.

Not nearly as many as Adrien. Either that or she had a higher alcohol tolerance...which was sort of a sobering thought. And probably untrue. She'd only had three drinks.

And a half. The phone gets dropped in her purse. "Three mai tais," she says, and raises an eyebrow as Cadogan bowls with fierce concentration. "Please tell me you didn't get ouzo."

Zoe's had three drinks. Which is more than usual, more than both Sandy and and Sophie, and considerably less than Adrien. She gets the feeling that Cadogan could drink most of a bottle of anything he liked without losing the Welsh stoicism. "She's...having a tough time. We talked about it a couple days before she left. Then I taught her darts, because throwing things always helps with a tough time." She can't talk about Jordan, she can't talk about Blythe's parents. "She feels like no one takes her seriously. Especially Monty."

He laughs briefly, loudly, pressing his cheek against her temple affectionately. "Dunno what They didn't stop, Zoe. Greek kids're fabulous. Love 'em." He turns to wink at a couple of girls, who immediately fluster and begin whispering between themselves.

[Sophie definitely is not wobbling as she threads her way back to Zoe and picks up her--someone's--drink. She's simply not used to walking in...flats, erm, bowling shoes. That's it. Her unsteadiness has nothing to do with her determination to forget someone neglected to mention she'd be spending three days with Adrien.]

And the petite artist refuses to have anything more than virgin drinks tonight. The racoon eyes have caught the attention, being silly with drink will not help her matters. Sandy was sure that everyone else could hold their drinks better than her, anyway. She was the midget of the group tonight. "Darts helps. I'm getting better at that but I'm swimming more often than throwing darts." And reading up on glass etching. "I know she was in a crabby mood. Can I ask what was wrong or is this a need to know basis?" Sandy makes a face at the mention of Monty. "Blythe can do better than Monty."

"I'm always snuggly, darling." His French accent is starting to shine through as he transfers the draping from Zoe to Sandy. "'Specially pretty girls."

"Aww, you say that to all the girls when you sample drinks from another country." She reaches up and behind to pat his cheek. "Though snugly isn't awful. You having fun despite me nagging at you?"

"Oh, Fitz, you make the attractively challenged unloved and unwanted?" She chuckles then blinks when buries his nose in her hair. "Oh, the guys are something else. They buy you drinks in hopes you'll feel better. They want to know what awful man did this to me. How about you? Any numbers?"

"Seven." He draws out the world, moving to hold his hand in front of her face. There are three numbers inked onto his arm, wrist, and back of his hand itself. "They're all so lovely. Almost as lovely as you."

"Oh god, not you too." She laughs, gently reaching up to tug at one of his curls. The flirtation was infectiousness. It helped she might be a little more open than she was just a few weeks ago. "Maybe we'll get you eight." She smirks and leans back. "Not everyone can be lovely as I, I'm glad you're not putting everyone up to such high standards. Are you gonna caaall any of them?"

He presses a kiss to her wrist, laughing a little. "None of them are as lo-o-ovely as you." And now he kisses the top of her head. "Might call a couple. Maybe three? That boy was gorgeous."

A yelp, she didn't expect that and she tugs it back, but she's laughing so it's okay. Aww, super drunk Adrien was adorable, really. "No, I'm sorry you have to make do. But that boy is stunning." She glances to the side to one of the Town's finest. "Do we have to send a search party tomorrow, you think?"

He's adorable? You're too kind. He glances over to stare at the boy, giving him a charming smile and chuckling quietly as he turns away, ears flaming. "So cute. How are they all so cute here? Don't unnerstaaaand, Sandy Ann."

"Mr. Fitzgerald, I think you're making him confused and unsure of himself. Here you are, draping yourself all over a girl with a broken nose and giving sex eyes to that cute little thing. What else is he supposed to do but be flustrated and adorable." She shrugs, not really being able to move. "I think it's the grapes and olives. Grapes, olives, and sunshine. Apparently it does wonders for your skin in the right amounts." She would shoot him a look if she should, "Who else did you tell about Sandy Ann?"

"He'll feel aaaaaall better when I call. Don't you worry. You're too cute when you do. You're too cute aaaaall the time." He ponders that for a moment, pressing his cheek against Sandy's. "Grapes and olives? Mmmmmaybe I should try that, yeah?" And now, he is going to cross her heart, bringing a finger up to draw two lines over Sandy's chest. "Nooo one. Promise."

The raccoon eyes had, among other things, made Zoe want to go and punch Amy Sinclair back. Honestly. How much more was she going to get away with before she got some kind of actual punishment for being a crazy prejudiced bitch? Because the only reason Zoe was an acceptable human being now was that she'd switched from the evil Suit of pacifism and happiness.

"Jordan's challenging her," Zoe says after a second. She can't tell Sandy about the ridiculous plan, but that much isn't exactly a secret. "And she's pretty sure she won't win. I like Monty," Zoe adds as she picks up her half-finished drink, "but he's got her in the little sister box, and I'm not sure she can ever get back out of it." She'd told her to try one last time, though, because it was hard to get over a guy if you'd liked him that long. She'd been pining after Monty...the better part of a year now.

She takes a deep drink of her mai tai. It's easier to focus on Blythe than the mess she had on her hands.

"You hangover's going to be epic," Zoe tells him, but she looks amused when he wraps himself around her like a boa, and she glances over at the giggling girls. "How many hearts are going to be busted by Monday night, do you think? Twenty?" For herself, she'd realized before the first drink was finished that it might be...wise to switch her right-hand diamond ring to her left for the night.
