"For the most part," Zoe said. There had been a blip here and there, after all, mostly caused by her mother - but most of the well wishes had been genuine, most of the people had been people she loved, friends and the family she's built herself, and she lightly touched the key pendant hanging around her neck.

"It has been a good day," she corrected with a smile. "A very good one. And I'll be careful with the chocolates, I promise."

Belatedly, she opens the sketch, looking down at it with parted lips. "This is beautiful," she said. "Thank you. You should do more."
