She can't remember any purposefully busted kneecaps in the last year. Busted up other things, of course, both on purpose and accidentally, but that sort of the way things were.

"That's a terribly cheerful thought," she says dryly. "They're probably going to send someone to remove that tree soon. That's what they've been doing with them."
