Part of Perfection, of course, was the mere fact that the two Genuinely important people--the bride and the groom--were in a constant state of Happiness. That required much more being Vanished than being Visible, more catching problems than being close. More watching from afar than anything else.

But, at some point, it will absolutely involve giving a slight pluck at Victor's sleeve. Maybe to smooth down a collar. Maybe to brush at some invisible dust.
