Blame the Piskies? [OTA]
Going to the family dinner is usually a simple thing. She stops by after she gets off of work, helps her mother get things sorted in the kitchen, enjoys a nice home-cooked meal and mostly-enjoyable conversation, crashes on her brother's futon, and goes back home the next morning. No trouble at all, usually.
Except this time, it seems that one stubborn cat wandering about the Clubs Castle hallways seems absolutely set on not letting her leave the building, this morning. She's already almost tripped twice, and shooed it off many more times, but still the cursed creature insists on weaving about between her feet.
"Oh, for goodness' sake--!"

Q or some other cat?
"Should I distract while you make your getaway?"
I was kind of thinking Q but it doesn't really matter to me~
There's a bit more relief than probably is normal in her tone at Elani's suggestion, "Please do. You'd be a lifesaver if you actually manage it."
The cat was stubbornly intent on not being distracted, after all.
Re: I was kind of thinking Q but it doesn't really matter to me~
At least Q actually likes Elani so it shouldn't be too difficult to entice him away from Teresa.
Should being the operative word there.
"I-...he-...Q, are you for real?"
Yeah, apparently easier said than done when he has two ladies' legs to twine around. "Sorry, this is getting ridiculous."

"He probably smells mine on me and thinks I'm a threat to his territory." And Elani, it seems is the unfortunate victim in all this.

"I think he thinks everyone is a threat to his territory," she laughs and finally manages to catch the cat who's truly the King of Clubs. "He's just letting you know who's really the boss around here."
Because it obviously isn't any of the humans.

"My apologies, Your Majesty," she says with a teasing grin.

[ooc: Bah, HTML]
Since he's wriggling now to get loose, Elani will set his Majesty free again to saunter off in the direction of
hisElisha's office. "I think he forgave you but you never know with cats, huh?" Dogs were easier but cats were easier to pick up.It is the worst sometimes o9
Clearly the best way to go about things.
"How are you?"

"And you, Teresa?"

And then she'll offer up a bit of a conspiratorial grin, "though would it be terrible to say I'm kind of glad it's over?"
