Liam is renowned for being apathetic. Relaxed. Chill. Which is why it's probably a surprise to see him rolling around his office on his chair, searching through stacks of papers and other random objects on his desk, slightly frazzled. He's obviously looking for something - it's just not clear what exactly he's looking for. 

Please help him. And don't... don't notice the confused, cowering Two slinking away into an aisle.

Elisha does not actually frequent the Spade Library all that much. There are other places to be at Spade Castle, usually, but the recent Amy thing has most Clubs below a Seven side-eying at the idea of running errands over here.

And he was headed this way anyway.

"Lose something?"

"I didn't lose anything. Just- misplaced- Do you see screen wipes anywhere around here?" He runs a hand through his hair, making it almost as untidy as his office and desk.

Really. Elisha just looks at Liam for a minute before leaning forwards and sticking his hand into the pocket of his hoodie.

"These?"

Liam will just sort of. Blink for a couple of seconds. Then. "Oh. That makes sense." He snatches takes it back from the Ten and sets to work on his precious tablet screen. "Liam Breighton, Seven of Spades, librarian." He shakes his hair out of his face, then glances up at the other man again. "And you're?"

Elisha does not quite smirk. But her brows do arch up. "Elisha Kagan, Ten of Clubs, artist," he says dryly before extends a slip of paper. "This is apparently required by the grumpy professor."

"Grumpy professors. Gotta love 'em." Liam pulls up the catalog on his tablet. "Only in Clubs would you have an 'official artist' as a Ten." It's said affectionately. But. Other suits are weird.

"Apparently," Elisha says dryly, and then shrugs. "Your artist is a Nine," he says. "Not that far off."

"Yeah, well. That's still not Ten." There's a difference. At least, Liam seems to think so. Or he's just bullshitting. "So on a scale of 1 to 10, how much grumpier will said grumpy professor get if he hears that he can't get the books for five days?"

"Honestly? I can't really tell the difference between Fin's levels of grumpiness." Elisha and Fin don't mesh very well at all. "Why five days? Are they all checked out?" That seeems...odd, if they're supposed to be coordinating research efforts.

"No, no. We have a couple copies in, but they're being cleaned up. At the very longest, it'll take five days to replace some of the page, fix the binding on one, etc." Yeah, he just said 'etc'. "Then again, it might be ready tomorrow. We do deliver, so you can tell him a Two will be over whenever the book's fit for public use again."

Things the Club librarian would probably tell him if they weren't busy trying to wrestle books out of Fin's grasp constantly. "I'll let him know," fun conversations all around. Then Elisha cocks his head to one side.

"You're more on top of things than you like to appear, aren't you?"

"Hey, let me say this. I have no clue why people seem to think that I don't have control over things in this library. I actually do pay attention." He points to the largest screen, which is flashing through feeds from different security cameras. "Berthier's the one who likes to spread that rumor that I never do anything."

"Sophie has very distinct ideas about how libraries should be run," Elisha says dryly. "I think that's why she and Fin get along so well." Extremely distinct ideas about how things should be done.

"You don't need to tell me, Kagan. The short time I spent in a relationship with that girl was enough. She is hilarious when she gets in a huff, though." Liam looks up at the other man, shrugging a shoulder.
