Hey kids, Qi here with someone you don't have to watch your smart mouth around because he's not a tiny child!

This is Cadogan, bringing a bit more testosterone to the Diamonds, where he's recently become a 10. He's a good, sweet boy who respects his mother and knows how low to bow to all the face cards. Decent at the shooting and stabbing and killing, decent at the listening to your problems and nodding sympathetically. Not great at talking due to a birth defect, and not so great at finding out who killed Andrew just yet ~~he does penance to his Ace and Queen EVERY DAY I SWEAR~~.

I'll be prodding the Diamonds for backstory stuff--anyone else who wants to be friends with the skinny Welshman give me a poke!

ETA SWS link; the 10 is NOT avoiding his Queen OR his Ace. He's just... sitting casually behind that curtain. Or bush. Or other large, hide-behind-able thing.

Säde cuts slack for no one. Not even mute just-made-10s. She probably knows some basic signs to understand him like 'yes/no' and the like, but everything else he'll have to write out.

And all the 10s do their best to come up with some new wrinkle on the case, but nope, still nothin'. Darn the Spades and their insistence on cleaning up the scene of the crime without letting the other Suits investigate to their hearts' content.

EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY HE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH, HE WILL [INSERT HIS PUNISHMENT HERE].

And this is why he'll be a good minion to her--because she's awesome. He'll have a notepad just for her. I'm also banking that he's roped a 2 into being a interpreter for more lengthy conversation.

Yay for them not being entirely incompetent so much as late. Are they still working on it, or has she taken over entirely?

Still working on it. Säde oversees the evidence, Helena collates stuff, the Tens do the dirty work- what little of it there is, anyway. Probably they've been repeating stuff in an attempt to see what they've missed, in the last month or so.

Sounds like a good plan. And a lot of 'nothing to report.'

All the Tens will be on high alert. Enjoy yourself, but skulk around a lot and keep an eye on the Face cards and possibly dangerous high Numbers when you can, is Säde's advice.

Skulking will be done heartily.

And getting Säde drinks. To make up for the failure.

Dafydd's mun is fail at Welsh, a fact which causes her poor muse to roll his eyes even more often than usual, but Dafydd has been feeling a bit homesick for the land of his birth, even though he was raised in London Society.

It's okay. My Welsh is not great--and getting worse every day because I'm speaking Chinese primarily now and that helps NONE of my European language skills. We can probably get some awesome 'if it's in brackets, it's in Welsh' going on, if that's amenable to you!

Hmm, brackets are usually where the action goes...what about \Welsh goes between a slash and a backslash?/ Or just italics?

It is pretty awesome that you can speak both Welsh and Chinese. That is not an ordinary-type combination.

I like \Welsh/, because /italic with backslash/ is how I indicate sign currently.

Done and done! I took that extra step with Dafydd guessing who he is, I hope that isn't too much of a leap. I thought at some point he would have learned details about the Ten of Diamonds, given what a little sponge for intel he is.

It made sense to me! Good to know who the high ranking cards of other decks are, and I imagine that the tidbit of 'Welsh and mute' probably sticks in the mind of a countryman.
