[OTA] Shop and Spy
Best order from a royal ever: go shopping and see what you can hear about what the Tower and the Devil might have in store other than dubiously romantic dates in Town.
So after a trip over to Diamond Castle, Zoe wanders first to Heartsong, her uncle's music store where Sara first spotted Burke and Asmodai, flipping through Uncle Lucien's used record collection as she listened to the chatter from the other customers. But it seems that all is quiet again on the Arcana front, and she's soon out the door again, wandering down the street and pausing here and there to look at this dress or this one or those shoes.
And listening to idle chatter, of course.

"Nothing in particular," she said with a shrug. Because she is, technically, supposed to be getting information out of people. "Though I guess I need to get shoes for the ball. And probably jewelry."

"Shouldn't your man be the one getting you jewelry? Just a thought, and all." But Victor Fox was a hard man for Hadyn to read. It didn't help that he was Elisha's best of friends.

Zoe shrugged, glancing down at the silver heart on a chain that she still almost always wore, even after a year. "He does buy me jewelry," she said as she picked up a god sandal and eyed it thoughtfully. "But Victor isn't really one to buy presents for no particular reason, and my birthday, as you know, isn't for a month and a half."

"Eh, maybe it is an older male thing. Elisha doesn't really do random gifts either." He said, pausing. "Though...I can say a bike was more than I expected." Though...there was a sudden look of dread that inched over his face. "Fuck....How do you top a motorcycle as a gift?"

"I gave up on outdoing after Christmas. Between the jewelry and the Hermes, he had to have dropped thousands." So had she, but Tiffany cufflinks added up quickly. For his birthday, he'd gotten a token. Two months late. "You've got...two months, I think. What does he like?"
no subject
"Maybe I'll brave Leona and ask her advice." That wasn't likely to end well, but...it was an idea.

Because as boring as Art was to him in some ways, Elisha seemed to be able to go on and on about it for insanely long periods of time.

Which had been his choice, but Zoe imagined that he missed it. It's what he'd done on-Deck for years, after all.
"Maybe you should let him paint you."
