[Striding down the hall, rolling luggage.]

Emily Smythe-Jones has been off-Deck the last couple of weeks. Sadly, she did not miss the snowstorm that started off the month of October, but shortly after that, the Spades' head of legal was off to Antwerp to take care of a small little issue, easily resolved with the application of a little charm and the materialization of a few slightly embarrassing photographs. It's amazing, truly, what politicians can get up to in their spare time.

After that, a brief trip to her favorite spa in Switzerland - Queen Katya had been quite insistent upon her taking a few days - and now Emily was back, refreshed and polished and hauling her teal hardside suitcase next to her as she strode down the hall.

The trip hadn't been without it's oddities. But it was unprofessional to let any sign of that show on her face.
