[OTA] Casual Sketches
Elisha isn't in his office. He's not in his rooms, either, or his studio for that matter. If someone was looking for the King of Clubs, they'd have to go through all the usual suspects and some of the more unusual ones - the training rooms, the kitchens, the offices of the other Club Faces - before they came across him in a secluded corner of Club Castle's vast library. It's not the worst place to do paperwork. But he's not doing paperwork, of course. More...doodling. Faces instead of shapes, this time. There's one of Eileen, one of Hadyn, and maybe a few other random and not so random people. As like as not, they won't ever develop into anything more than this, but it's relaxing.
It gets his mind off everything else for a few moments, at least. At least, until someone finds his hiding place. Or, hey, maybe the library will sprout a picturesque cottage. Anything, apparently, is possible.

"Most people might not," he said after a moment, moving his pencil to work on the rendition of his own couch. "But I happen to like drawing. Don't you have hobbies, Miss Sinclair?"

But then hobby-talk, and Amy's eyebrow climbed a little bit. "I got hobbies, just. Nothin' like this." She...worked out. Okay, so that wasn't really much of a hobby, but it's basically all she had.

"Y'know, you don't actually gotta put down shit I do just for the hell of it, dude. Just 'cause it's different doesn't mean it's better."
Someday, she'll get used to the idea of payback, and being the target of it. That day is not today.

though not a doodle of a troll, at least."Is there a reason you think I was putting you down?" He asks. "As it happens, I also work out on occasion." On many, many occasions, many of which end with other people groaning.

"Saying my shit's less impressive is putting it down. Maybe you need a vocabulary check, maybe not, but. Seriously." She gestures vaguely. "I don't...come in here and do that to you." Being King technically gives him the right to do it to her, of course, but it's bad for business. Spades and Clubs get along fairly decently, as it stands. She doubts she could impact things so impressively as to ruin that, but the point is that doing it is rude and unnecessary.
She's trying to get better about doing things that are rude and unnecessary. What the hell is with everyone else being incapable of doing the same?

"My deepest and most sincere apologies, Miss Sinclair," he says dryly. "I didn't mean to insult you. Why are you here?"

"Lookin' for Dr. James. He's not in his clinic, so I thought I'd...look." And here Elisha was, far from being who she was looking for.

And she's watching for a minute longer before rubbing her face and letting loose a loud sigh. Blown opportunities all over again. Fabulous.
"Um. Have a decent day, and, uh. Hope the whole. Drawing. Thing goes well."
Can she flee now? Please?

"Thanks," he tells her. "I'll attempt to draw reasonable doodles of your boss." Although Victor with horns would be hilarious. Just not wedding present appropriate. "Have a nice day, Miss Sinclair."
