It's Swing Time~
It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out Elisha's motivation for organizing - or, honestly, delegating the organization of - a semi-formal dance party. Lucinda had suggested a ball, with stars in her eyes. She probably had already picked out ballgowns and themes in her head when Elisha had nixed the thing and - in a moment of desperation, with the memory of the swing-themed Fox wedding still in his head - suggest a Spring Swing, instead.
Everyone had run with it, and Elisha was pleased to say it had come out well. He was even more pleased to say that he didn't have to wear a suit, even if he stepped out into the lantern-lit gardens in everything but the tie. He paused near the raised dais provided for dancing and gave the small band the signal to start up the music before he attempted to fade back in the crowd. Not that that ever worked.
"Let the games begin," he murmured to no one in particular as he picked up a glass of champagne off a tray.
Note: Open to everyone and their brother; tag around, have fun!

Theo gazed around, appreciating the time and effort spent into organizing one of these things. He was more than happy to leave the details of the Hearts' summer bash in the capable hands of his Ace and his Jack, thank goodness.
"One thing about the Deck, we do know how to throw parties," he had to laugh. "My mother used to organize them for the Diamonds--I was forever stuffed into a suit and tie and made to be decorative, until I got old enough to run in the opposite direction when she even mentioned the word 'soiree'."

Greylan gave a nod then about the comment of the Deck throwing good parties before smiling wryly about running at the word 'soiree'."My mum was a bit of the same. She made sure me and my twin knew how to dress ourselves, proper manners, the nine yards. So its nice to go to a party that you don't have to worry about that kind of thing." Of course Greylan's mother had been a social climber, more worried about making herself look good in the eyes of her peers. Not that she was a bad mother just different.
He quirks a shrug, not worrying about it. She had been the one that go him his first easel so she recognized her children's various talents and helped nurture them. "I'm hoping to be able to attend more. It seems I've been spending too much time in the kitchen." He chuckles.

"This one," he gestured with the can out over the brightly lit floor, "is just the thing, I think. Not too formal that we all have to swelter under tuxes, and not too loose to call for flip-flops." A chuckle. "Trust the Clubs to keep everything in the middle."

"It's nice to sit back, relax, and not worry about tomorrow once in a wnile."
