It's a fairly well-known fact among those who are interested in this sort of thing that there are two superlative gardens in the Deck that specialize in the beautiful and the poisonous. One belongs, of course, to Maggie St. John in the Hearts, but the other belongs to Briony. She found it amusing, back when she bought her house, to specialize, and so her back garden is full of foxglove, belladonna, and her personal favorite - delphiniums.

They're such a pretty flower, she thinks as she steps outside, dressed to work. No one ever thinks the pretty things can kill you.
