[ota] time will tell....
Clive had spent the morning in his office, not behind his desk but...rather in front of his dry erase board. It was covered in a web of links and possible solutions to various inter-suit issues that peppered their troubles.
Scrubbing a hand through his hair, he licked his lips a moment.
Leaving his offices, he didn't pause to speak to many. No, no...The King of Spades was intent on tending to his business of the day as quickly as possible, it seemed. But what that business was might well have been up for debate.

"And what if it is just a lure to get you to go there, and listen to his threats? It could be a ploy by your Turkish ambassador." He said, frowning as he looked right back at her. "And even if it were the Arcana? What on earth did you expect us to do? Run to their siren and dance to their tune? They were a bit more direct last time, and that didn't work out for them. Now we know who and what they are, I don't think it is going to work this time."
He was a adult, and he wasn't going to panic over a common symbol and ghost stories.

"I'm going anyway, Clive," she told him a bit contemptuously. "One, it's part of my job description, and two, I'm a Spade, in case you hadn't noticed." And Spades didn't avoid danger; they courted it and eagerly.
Ivona then shrugged, saying, "Do with it what you will, Majesty. I've done my part, brought it to your attention. No doubt you have people who will take care of such things for you."
A sweet smile and she turned to leave. "Enjoy your lunch hour."

Fools courted danger, if one was to be accurate about it. "Fine. Go. Pretend that I care, even. Because I am ever so tired of trying and still derided by you. And you wonder why I left? Because you are blood sucking leach, Ivona, and I would rather be with someone who actually has a heart than to spend five minutes on this topic with you."
He moved to the door ahead of her, and opened it before offering her the same fake sort of smile she always gave him. "Good day, Madame Ten. Enjoy Turkey, I'm sure it'll be a blast right now."
