Because his mun will not be around much this weekend Because John much prefers gift exchanging on Christmas Eve than Christmas - put it down to old family tradition - he's ready to give you your Christmas present.

As if the visitors to the Deck weren't stirring things up enough, Sieben received some unexpected news recently. It's going to be an adjustment.

And it hasn't quite sunk in yet.

The Meeting on the Green

The day was rather bright and sunny, warm for a mid-December day. Unfortunately for the townsfolk, all plans of picnicking out on the Green to watch the fireworks that afternoon seemed to have been quashed by the ring of security personnel surrounding the area.

That didn’t mean the people didn’t turn out in droves, it just meant that they pressed against the line of security, straining to be able to see the center of the Green where the four staves still stood. More enterprising individuals watched from building balconies and rooftops, despite more members of security attempting to wave them away.

This was a rather momentous occasion for the Deck, after all, and the Deck seemed discinlined not to witness every last moment.

So when the Royals and their escorts finally arrive, they’ll have a rather large audience. But the Green itself will be empty of anyone else.

Blythe's been reading, which, judging by her choice in books, is never a good thing.

So, of course, the next logical thing to do is order stuff online. Along with some more good thick books, she got something else interesting...

so link happy i don't even. xD

In more effort to distract himself with other things so he's not constantly thinking of the mysterious strangers and their up-coming meeting, John's focusing on Christmas shopping. Which he's never been all too good at.

But he thinks he found a special someone the perfect thing. If you ask nice, he might show you the gift. But who's getting it has to stay a secret until Christmas Day. Or Eve.

Two days of getting other people to do it hard working, and the Hearts castle is ready for the holidays.

So, what do you think?

And don't worry, it's not a mistletoe trap.

Following a conversation with Zoë, John's decided to "festive up" the Hearts castle. He wasn't actually about to undertake the task, but, given the excitement buzzing following the notices that were posted, he thinks it's a good enough way to get everyone's mind on something else. Even just for a little while.

Regardless, he's gonna need a little help.

NOTICE to all members of THE DECK...

The notice may be found posted on the main entrance to each of the four Castles of the Deck. No one was seen putting the signs up, but they're there, nonetheless. The men named on the signs are no one anyone has heard of.

Who, indeed, are these men who wish audience with the Royals of the Deck?

Mel has offered to whip John into shape - aka: be a better Jack. He's pretty amused by the idea. Hopefully she has a lot of patience.

[Instead of punching Spades, Lance is hiding from them. And mostly everyone else. In a cloud of nicotine.
