Smack.

The ball ricochets off the wall, slamming into a kitchen cabinet before rolling under the table. The paddle clatters to the floor as Blythe grumbles, getting down on her knees to retrieve the ping pong ball. The Ten has let more swear words loose in the last hour of attempting to practice Ping Pong than she has ever before in her life. Please. Goddamn challenges, goddamn vodka, and may Jordan Novak burn for an eternity in hell.

Come save her from this. Please.

The Jack is in her office - the old one, she still hasn't entirely decided what to do about Lancelot's but wants to wait until Elani gets back before she makes any decisions one way or the other - enjoying an early breakfast while she works her way through the usual mountain of paperwork.

Progress is being made, slowly but surely.

Distractions, of course, are always welcome. Anyone that would like to have a word with the Jack - Christopher, I am looking at you - for whatever reason is also always welcome.

Emotions. Embarrassment. Stress. Mice.

She's had it up to here.

Sandy's has one of the most trying, awful, emotionally distressing two weeks in her entire life since that horrible year of 1999 upon the Deck. And believe her, she's had trying times before returning to the Deck again. And now things will be better, she'll be happier with a purpose and a short term goal and her Issues are starting to be managed. Starting next Thursday? A permanent therapist in her Suit. This weekend? A three day vacation and her boss understands.

It cannot come soon enough. She has to go through one more Session before her Worst Two Weeks Ever can finally be over. So Sandy? Is going to be a little bit snippy, a little bit snappy. To nearly anyone.

She is going to tell you, "No, I don't want to do that."

Convince her otherwise?
