House of Cards RP

Monty had a chat with His Maj the day Elisha had won his challenge against Alexander and became de facto King of Clubs. Elisha only had to ask once. Monty knows a hint when he hears it. So find him at the arena with Luis Esteban clowning for him and three bulls. So far he favors Sidewinder, a hug Charolais/Brahma cross weighing in at 1500 pounds. He's athletic, fast as the snake he's named for and prone to sunfishing. The big Angus, Gunslinger, and the Braford, Diablo, are both nearly as good. Any bull would help its rider score high (assuming he lasted the full eight seconds). He'd talk to Davin about selling the rest of the herd once his challenge is over.

Right now, he remains 100 percent certain he's still too old for this shit.

Zoe had been right; she should drag Sophie out more. The girl was veritable turtle, but, she had been peeking out of her shell more often. So, Sophie, Zoe, (and whomever else is interested) will receive invitations:

It's summer, it's lovely, and it's time for us to snip a few strings and cut loose a smidge. The Diamond's Gardens will be transformed into a lovely little outdoor lounge area for an evening of drinks and light snacks. RSVP as soon as you get this to let me know how many seats to arrange. The meeting is held in a house on the outskirts of Spade territory. Each Suit is represented by their envoy, at least one Face Card, and a guard, and the groups approach at different times to minimise the risk of rumour. The Arcana have been in the Deck for over half a year now, and it is long past time that the Suits worked together on their dealings with them.

Each envoy is to share what they have determined about the Arcana, and their own opinions of each of the men and women in the embassy. Only Margo, the Club envoy, is left out in this regard, which is more an asset to what planning will ensue than a detriment. If the Suits cannot agree on a unanimous plan, this meeting will have been useless.

The Diamonds arrive after the Spades, and though Säde is one of the planners of this meeting, she privately thinks it unfortunate that the other cannot be here. Athena's thoughts would have been useful. Then again, considering the history between her and the Spades... perhaps it was best after all.

She pushes that aside and stands when everyone else is seated. "Good day to you all. We all know our purpose here: to pool our knowledge of the Arcana, and ultimately to present a more united front to the Arcana. I trust we shall not fail."

One look around the table, and she smiles grimly. "So. Which envoy would like to speak first?"
