[OTA] A lovely night

It's a bit impromptu but anyone wandering by the Green on this warm evening will find it lit by fairy lights everywhere and a few Deck musicians have set up in one corner and are taking requests.

And right out in the middle of things, Elani can be found dancing with anyone who offers.

[ooc: yes, blame Dancing with the Stars. And Qi. But anyway...come out and dance! With Elani...or otherwise. :)]

"That sounds about right," she agreed with a smile. "So what can I persuade you to do, then?"

"I'm doing it. Watching you spin around is a decent form of amusement. Besides, you do it way better than I ever could. Just convince Evan to join you and you could give a little show."

"I don't think Evan requires very much convincing," and of course she loved her brother for it...and many other things besides.

"But really, Ry, you don't know what you're missing."

"Don't you try to work your wiles on me with those eyes of yours, Lani. I'm wise to your wicked ways. And trust me, you do not want me clomping all over your feet."

"Wicked ways? Me? Have you been talking to my evil twin?"

"Wicked for you. Which is pulling out puppy eyes and smiles and trying to cute me into dancing."

She sways from foot to foot back and forth in time with the beat, "oh come on, Ry. Even you can do this."

"You'd think so, but I'd likely find a way to mess it up."

"Nah. I just know my limits. If we were sparring, I'd be fine, but when it comes to just moving back and forth to music..." He shrugged, accompanying it with a small smile.

She looked at him skeptically, "then think of it like sparring...to music."

"Yeah, it's not the same, Lani. It's too... docile."

Now she was grinning quite mischievously. "So go dance with Evan."

Or spar to music. Whichever.

He's just going to give her a look.

She's just fluttering her eyelashes at him. "You don't think it's a good idea?"

"You're hilarious, Lani." Another prod, this one more angled towards a spot he knows is ticklish.

That has her squirming away from him and shrieking, "that's not fair, Ry!"

"What? What was that? When did 'fair' come into the equation?" A grin, followed by his other hand snaking out to attack her other side.

So not fair. At all. And she'll be combination laughing and shrieking again as she tries to get away. "Since I-" giggle, "thought you were are a," yelp, "gentleman?"

"I am the very model of a major modern gentleman," he quipped, grabbing her with one arm and using the other to continue tormenting her. "And nowhere in the gentleman handbook does it state tickling is against our code."

"....Perhaps there should be then." After all, when did this become remotely gentleman like he didn't know. Even if he chose to 'tickle' Zoe, it would never have been in public. His mother would have been horrified. "I believe you've tortured the Lady Elani enough."

She's gasping between the tickling as she catches sight of Victor, "...Victor?"

Okay, this was a little embarrassing, wasn't it?

Still chuckling, he ceases his tickling, but keeps a companionable arm around her, quirking a brow at the Spade. "But that would suck all the fun out of the few loopholes gentlemen have, Victor."

"What a shame that would be." His tone was dry as he tilted his head slightly. He might well have been on crutches, but there was still something of a high bar he carried himself in. Even is his suit didn't really fit well because of the cast. "Elani, I was hoping to have a moment of your time."
