I get the feeling the general theory is that alcohol improves bowling scores.

Zoe makes a face at Adrien. "I'm a Deck girl," she says with an amused look. "All off-Deck trips before this one have been strictly supervised by parental figures." Well, one parental figure. And strictly speaking, Paris had not been, but it hadn't been quite this...

They're technically in the Aegean, anyway. "Well, we're just going to have to correct that then, aren't we? I thought about going to Nice, actually, but Santorini won." Because she never got to speak her language anymore.

"And Marseilles is still the bestest. We'll go. You bring along Victor." It isn't just Paris that's the city of romance. Adrien would argue that France itself is the perfect country for lovers.

"That might be nice," Zoe says. Sort of wistfully. She and Victor have never gone anywhere together, and a part of her - despite everything else - remembers he took Elani to Rome once. It feels pretty petty. "Maybe I can finagle it as a birthday gift."

Luckily, Zoe is fluent in le francais. "Well, I'd like it. But he gets pretty busy. Still, he'd be off the crutches by then. I'm about ready to circle a date in August."

Since he's back to that, Zoe's just going to give him an amused look and flag down a waiter. She isn't nearly drunk enough, after all.

You taunt him like this, Zoe. Why. He will just eye the drink mournfully when the waiter sets it down in front of her. This is going to be a long night.

"Just think of it this way," Zoe says as she sips her drink. Yes, she is answering your unspoken question out loud. "In the morning you can be relentlessly cheerful at me while I nurse a splitting headache."

"Nooo. No headaches." And draping himself over Zoe is a go. Surely they can stay here in an amicable silence before he goes off to flirt with more waiters?
